Let's talk about the importance of getting pre-approved! 

It can be scary to hear your agent ask if you're pre-approved BEFORE finding the house of your dreams. But the truth is, it is more scary to look for homes without pre-approval. 

Most sellers won't accept an offer to purchase without a letter of pre-approval. 

Why? 

When an offer is accepted and a home goes under contract, the home is no longer available for other buyers to see on the MLS. Sellers need to know that you are qualified to make the purchase and that accepting your offer and taking their home off of the market is a good investment of their time and financial interest. 

Once we start touring homes and looking for the perfect fit, having your pre-approval on hand sets us one step closer to securing the home you'd like to purchase. 

If we tour homes and you find one that you fall in love with and you're not pre-approved, we have to wait for you to get pre-approval before offering. During the time that it takes for you to get approved, the house that you love could very well go under contract. Which can be a big disappointment and then we will have to start over.
